Voss Performance is a Cobra and resto-mod specialist in Placentia, California, run by Master Mechanic Erick Voss. For more than twenty-five years, Erick has focused on the cars enthusiasts obsess over: original Shelby Cobras, Superformance Cobras and Daytonas, and resto-mod builds that put modern power and handling under classic bodywork.
Your car doesn't get passed down a line. It goes behind closed doors and Erick builds it himself — engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes and the fine details — down to the choice of fasteners, clamps and motor mounts. That's how a car earns its place on the show field and still gets driven hard on the street.
A fresh Superformance roller, a numbers-matching classic brought back better than new, or a full resto-mod — if it's worth doing right, it's worth bringing to Voss.

What we build
From a fresh Superformance Cobra to a full resto-mod, here's the work that comes through the shop.
Superformance Cobra Installs
Complete engine and drivetrain assembly for the Superformance MKIII, Daytona Coupe and GT40 — prepped, installed, tuned and road-tested to show-and-track standard. 170+ built.
Resto-Mod Builds
Classic bodywork over modern running gear — fuel injection, coilover suspension, four-wheel discs, a five- or six-speed and A/C. Period looks with current-day power and drivability.
Shelby Cobra Service
Sorting, tuning, restoration and upgrades for original and continuation Cobras — the car Erick knows better than any, with 170+ Cobra builds behind him.
Engines & Forced Induction
Crate and custom engine builds, Roush superchargers and STS turbo systems — with the fuel, cooling and tuning to make the power reliable and streetable, not just a dyno number.
Suspension, Brakes & Handling

We get your car and parts to the shop — a new Superformance roller and engine, or your own classic project — and stage everything for the build.
Build
Behind closed doors, Erick preps, installs and tunes — fitting the drivetrain, dialing the setup, finishing every detail.
Test
We road-test the finished car, verify there's nothing loose or off, and hand it back sorted and ready to drive.
